Tomasz Rut
"I look for inspiration in the humanistic tradtion of classical art. My canvases express the entire spectrum of human emotions from exhilaration and cheerfulness to contentment, melancholy, pain and agony."

Born in Poland, Tomasz Rut was pushed into art at a young age by his mother, a painter herself. He later went to train in Art Conservation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poland. He is now regarded as one of the great artists of his time. Rut has been selected by the Robb Report as the most collectible artist in the United States as well as one of the most accomplished individuals leading us into the 21st century by "Who's Who in America". His accomplishments continue as Rut's work is currently under review by the Vatican as a possible inclusion into the Vatican Art Collection.

Many of Rut's works are based on mythical characters, as well as superficial patina and aging, which Rut creates with a variety of transparent and semi-transparent glazes. This process creates the illusionistic and expressive beauty of each mythical creature. These mastery illusionary works evoke the harmony and form of the masters: the flamboyance of Rubens, the finesse of Caravaggio, and the emotion of Michaelangelo.
